JACKETS AND BAGS MADE FROM UPCYCLED TEXTILES, TRANSFORMING MEMORIES INTO FUNCTIONAL WEARABLES
SIT WITH US is a collection of four jackets, one accompanied by a matching handbag, celebrating the art of storytelling through fabric. The collection includes: a blue jacket crafted from an old blanket, a faux leather jacket with a tie belt, a denim jacket stitched together from jeans my sister and I wore in middle school, and a faux fur vest paired with a bag made from the same material. The faux fur set was repurposed from the lining of a jacket I wore as a teenager.
Each piece was carefully deconstructed and reimagined, with fabrics cut and reused to give them a new life. This collection explores the connection between past and present, offering a seat at the table to reflect on sustainability, personal history, and craftsmanship. By transforming these textiles, SIT WITH US invites wearers to embrace the imperfections of upcycling and the beauty of reimagined memories.
